Becoming Me - Teens & Young Adults

  • 12 Steps

About

Becoming Me™ is a structured, step-by-step program designed to support teens in developing a clearer understanding of themselves, their feelings, their responses, and their experiences with others. Across six guided weeks, teens are introduced to simple, practical ways to explore how they think, feel, and interact in everyday situations. The program focuses on building awareness through education and reflection, rather than pressure or behaviour correction. Teens will explore what they like and don’t like, how different situations feel, and how their responses may vary depending on the environment or the people around them. They will also learn that individuals communicate and express themselves in different ways, which can influence how interactions are experienced. Throughout the program, teens are supported to recognise what feels comfortable, what feels less clear, and how their experiences can change depending on context. This helps reduce confusion, builds clarity, and supports a stronger sense of self-understanding. The program is suitable for teens who may feel unsure in social situations, experience frustration or withdrawal, or find it difficult to explain how they feel. It is also well suited to neurodivergent teens, those in alternative education settings, or those needing a calm, structured approach to understanding themselves. Becoming Me™ can be completed independently, with a caregiver, or alongside a coach or support worker. A matching caregiver guide is included to support consistent, calm communication at home. This is not about changing who a teen is. It is about helping them understand themselves more clearly, at their own pace.
